JOOZEO Celebrates the Official Release and Implementation of the Group Standard for “Carbon Molecular Sieves for Air Separation and Nitrogen Production”

Carbon molecular sieves (CMS) are excellent non-polar carbon materials with a high concentration of micropores that exhibit a strong instantaneous affinity for oxygen molecules. This property enables the separation of oxygen and nitrogen from air to produce nitrogen using pressure swing adsorption (PSA) systems. High-purity nitrogen finds extensive applications in food preservation, the electronics industry, chemical production, metal processing, and the pharmaceutical sector.

With over 20 years of experience in the R&D and production of adsorbents, desiccants, and catalysts, JOOZEO has established itself as a leader in CMS technology and project expertise. As one of JOOZEO’s flagship products, carbon molecular sieves have played a pivotal role in the development of the group standard for “Carbon Molecular Sieves for Air Separation and Nitrogen Production.” This standard, co-drafted by JOOZEO and released by the China Association for Promoting International Economic & Technical Cooperation, officially came into effect in December 2024.

The standard specifies technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for CMS used in air separation and nitrogen production. Factory inspection items include appearance, bulk density, particle size, crush strength, moisture content in packaging, nitrogen production rate, nitrogen purity, nitrogen recovery rate, and dusting rate. The standard addresses industry development needs, promoting technological advancements and industrial upgrades.
